SIGNED on the title page by GRAHAM GREENE. First English edition (having been previously published in Swedish). Greene had gone to Belgian Congo in January 1959 with this new novel already beginning to form in his head. One of the novels he had the most difficulty to pen down, but some find it one of his very best. Page 25 partly detached; edge wear to dustjacket, rubbing and some small tear (see picture); dustjacket previously repaired with sello tape on inside. Internally very clean and in very good condition. No previous owner name. Price not clipped. A collectable copy with Graham Greene's neat signature on the title page.
