Henry Williamson The Phasian Bird London Faber and Faber 1948 First Edition Very Good Good This is a novel set in the period between 1937 and 1944 about the hybrid pheasant, game shooting and changes to the English countryside (very topical indeed!). The characters are both animal and human. Williamson was particularly good at his countryside novels. dustjacket has a tear of about one inch at the top and some general wear and tear, but the copy is otherwise very good. Price unclipped.
