A very good copy of this classic on orchids. Illustrated throughout by colour plates, black and white plates and numerous engravings in the text. This is the second, revised edition. This is the preferred edition as it has eight additional plates by Champion Jones. Book is clean, with no markings and no previous owner name. Book is complete and tight but with pages 3-14 half loose. Covers are bright and beautifully decorated. Complete with advertising and publisher's catalogue at the back. Light shelf wear to spine. A desirable, collectable copy.
