Scotland is most prodigal with her display of mountains and glens and a selection had to be made. The author of the Scottish section is a mountaineer and his focus is on the mountains that he knows well, thus giving us a first-hand account. This is a practical book, with useful advice for all. It is the third edition, revised. The book is illustrated from photographs.
