The famous mountaineer is not only a very good writer; he is also a superb photographer. This is the author's fourth mountain photographs book and includes 47 photographs. All the pictures were taken by him in the Swiss and Austrian mountains, and although it contains less pictures than in his previous books, there is considerably more text. The book includes a delightful essay, "The Alpine Year". There is some light wear and tear to the dustjacket, but it is otherwise a VG copy.
